On Thursday, Senators Nancy Jacobs (R-Harford and Cecil Counties) and Jennie Forehand (D-Montgomery County) and Delegate Jill Carter (D-Baltimore City) announced crime reporting legislation that would provide whistleblower protections for police officers pressured by their superiors to manipulate crime data. Obviously Martin O’Malley has damaged the public’s trust in reporting crime.

Apparantly prompted by WBALs reporting of two men who were allegedly threatened by police for insisting upon reporting crimes to which they were victimes.
